the gateway to god’s glory

The Lord has been speaking to me the past few months about how He is going to use the time we spend participating in communion to manifest His presence in the church. He is wanting to usher in His remanent into the Holy of Holies, and it is through the blood of Jesus and His life that we will be able to come before the Father in all His beauty and glory. God has been revealing to me “The Way, the Truth, and the Life,” and how the flesh and blood of Jesus will open the door into that inner courtroom where the Father’s glory resides.

Jesus says in John 6:53, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.” The word life in the Greek is ζωη or zoe. It means the act of investing energy with others to form bonds instead of thermodynamic excitation alone. When a particle or person hoards energy or wealth, they grow in mass and speed and eventually disconnect with others leading to death. Speech and script (words) are manifestations of this sharing.

In Matthew 4:4, Jesus responds to Satan’s temptation to turn rocks into bread by saying, “It is written: ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT COMES OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’” He is quoting a scripture in Deuteronomy 8:3 that says, “man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the LORD.” Moses was explaining to the Children of Israel how God had kept them alive in the wilderness by giving them life in more ways than only by feeding them manna or bread. God’s presence and glory had not only maintained them but caused them to prosper, and He was preparing them to enter His promises of a new land where blessings flowed.

John 1:1-4 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind.” Jesus is the Word of God, and in Him is life. When Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves,” He was referring to His spirit or the Word of God.

Jesus also said in 1 John 14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” The tabernacle in the Old Testament had three chambers: the outer courtyard, the holy place, and the Holy of Holies. The doors or gates going into each chamber had names. The name of the gate going into the outer courtyard was “The Way.” The name of the gate going into the holy place was “The Truth,” and the name of the gate going into the Holy of Holies was “The Life.” Jesus was telling us that He is the Way into the Holy of Holies where the Father and His glory reside. Exodus 40:34-35 says, “Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.” For the high priest to enter in the Holy of Holies, they had to undergo a rigid and very strict routine of cleansing. In fact, they had to wear bells on their garments and had to have a rope tied around their waist, so if they did not purify themselves correctly and died, they would be able to be pulled out. If we want to stand in the presence of the Father and in His glory, we need to make sure we are cleansed and purified first.

Psalms 25:3-5 says, “Who may ascend onto the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? One who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to deceit And has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive a blessing from the LORD And righteousness from the God of his salvation.” If we want to go into the Holy of Holies, we must be purified by the blood of Christ. When the priest went through the cleansing process before entering not the tabernacle, they would wash in a bowl of water and look down into the water to see their reflection. They believed that they would see themselves as God saw them. They were examining themselves before entering the Holy of Holies. 1 Corinthians 11:27-29 says, “Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy way, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But a person must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For the one who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not properly recognize the body.” When we look inward and examine our heart, we pray and ask God to identify anything that is harmful within us, so we can repent and ask Jesus to cleanse us with His blood just as the priest would cleanse themselves with the water. Fortunately, we do not have to go through the lengthy ordeal the priest had to go through. We only must repent and ask Jesus to purify us, so when the Father looks upon us, He will see us purified having been washed in the blood of Christ.

When we partake in communion, we eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Word that leads to life. If we examine ourselves and receive the righteousness and purity of the blood of Jesus first, we can enter the Holy of Holies by accessing “The Way, the Truth, and the Life.” The gateway of Life, Jesus, will bring us before the Father enthroned in His glory. When we leave His glorious presence, we will carry His glory with us to share with the rest of the world. We can see this example with Moses in Exodus 34:29-35. It says that the face of Moses shined because of the time He spent in the Father’s presence. The Father will once again use this transfer of glory to show the world His intimacy with those who are able to enter His Holy of Holies. There is a Way to the Father’s throne room, and it is only through the Truth and Life of Jesus.

Beau Walsh

I was prodigal son who was raised in a nondenominational church in a small town in Texas. My parents were pastors of the church, but I decided to find my own way in life while walking in rebellion towards my Father in heaven. I served ten years as a Navy SEAL, worked at NASA’s NBL dive facility, taught and coached high school athletes, and worked as a Pediatric ER travel nurse before I finally decided to dedicate my life to Jesus Christ and return to my Father’s house as son of God.

I wrote a book titled Prodigal to Prince: One man’s journey along the narrow road. It tells my life’s story and how God called me into His kingdom. It also was written as an encouraging word for other prodigals in hopes of calling them back into the Father’s loving arms. It also calls those who are already serving Him to be inspired to return to the first love they once found in Jesus.

I work fulltime for the Lord now, and I am excited about all the things God is doing in my life! Follow me on my journey as I share the revelations with you that God shares with me. I pray it is a blessing to you in your journey along the narrow road with Christ! It will soon be time for the Father to reveal His sons and daughters within the earth!
